Voice Mail Hell

Voicemailhell

How often does this happen to you? You’re checking your Voice Mail messages and
somebody decides to add irritation, inconsideration and mystery to your day by committing
1, 2 or 3 of these deadly Voice Mail Sins:

  1. The self-important caller leaves only their first name….apparently they are so famous (example: Cher, Prince, Madonna, MJ, The Donald) that on hearing their single name, you instantaneously know the identity of the caller.
  1. To add mystery and intrigue, they leave no clue why they called.
  1. As if these hellions were charged $100 for every second they speak…they ask for a “call back”…rattleing off their phone number in a blur of undecipherable numbers. There is no way you can understand the numbers without replaying the message many irritating times.

You Are Now Leaving Voice Mail Hell.

Let’s make a deal with one another. Let’s not ever send anyone to Voice Mail
Hell.

When we leave a voice mail message, let’s   S – l – O – W      W – A – Y    D – O – W – N.

Let’s introduce/announce ourselves using our first and last
names and when fitting, include the name of our company.

We can prove our consideration by leaving a brief message
about why we are calling and when leaving a call back number, say it slowly and
clearly, then repeat your first and last name and your phone number once again.

“Hi. Mary, this is
Ken Brand with Prudential, Gary Greene Realtors. I was calling to touch base and see if there
was anything I can do to support your efforts to grow your listing
inventory?” I’ll call back or you can
reach me at 2 – 8 – 1 – 3 – 6 – 7 – 3 –
5 – 3 – 1. That’s Ken Brand at
281-367-3531. Thanks!”

I promise, people will recognize your consideration
and professionalism
